The Moeller ZMR-40-PKZ2 is a heavy-duty motor protector trip block designed for use with PKZ2 motor protection breakers. It features an adjustable thermal trip range of 32–42A and magnetic trip settings from 350–500A, making it ideal for high-powered 3-phase motors. This unit supports motors up to 15 HP at 230V and 30 HP at 460V. Functioning like an overload relay, the ZMR-40-PKZ2 uses auxiliary contacts to de-energize the contactor coil circuit under overload conditions and provides short-circuit protection via magnetic tripping. Key features include HAND/AUTO reset functionality, ambient temperature compensation, phase failure sensitivity, and tamper-proof covers over the adjustment settings. The unit is UL and CSA certified and is not compatible with U/A voltage trips or RE/RS remote drive modules.
