The Moeller ZM-40-PKZ2 is an advanced motor protector trip block designed for use with PKZ2 motor protection systems, offering both overload relay and short-circuit protection in one unit. It features an adjustable thermal trip range of 32 – 42 A and a magnetic trip range of 350 – 500 A, making it suitable for motors up to 30 HP at 460V (3-phase).
Unlike standard trip modules, the ZM-40-PKZ2 includes auxiliary contacts to de-energize the contactor during overload conditions and provide signal feedback. It also comes with a HAND/AUTO reset switch, enhancing control flexibility in panel or automated systems. The unit cannot be used in combination with U/A voltage trips or RE/RS remote control drives.
Built-in ambient compensation, phase failure sensitivity, tamper-proof setting covers, and a coding accessory ensure precise operation, safety, and correct installation. Fully UL and CSA certified for industrial applications.
