The Moeller PKZ2/ZMR-40/S is the largest capacity model in the ZMR-S series, providing robust protection and control for high-power motors. This self-protected manual motor starter integrates the PKZ2 basic module, ZMR-40-PKZ2 overload relay (adjustable thermal range: 32–40 A), S-PKZ2 high-capacity magnetic contactor, and C-PKZ2 DIN rail mount. With a magnetic trip range of 350–500 A, it supports motors up to 15 HP at 230 V and 30 HP at 460 V. UL listed and CSA certified, it is recognized as an HP-rated motor controller and approved for group installations under NEC 430-53(c) and CEC Rule 28-206. This design reduces the need for individual motor branch overcurrent protection, saving panel space and cost while ensuring compliance and reliable service.
