The Moeller PKZ2/ZMR-1/S is a self-protected manual motor starter that combines overload protection and a high-capacity contactor for enhanced performance. This configuration includes the PKZ2 basic module, ZMR-1-PKZ2 overload relay (thermal range 0.6–1 A), S-PKZ2 high-capacity magnetic contactor, and C-PKZ2 DIN rail mounting adapter. With a magnetic trip range of 8–14 A, it supports motors rated up to 1/2 HP at 460 V. UL listed and CSA certified, the PKZ2/ZMR-1/S is approved for group installations under NEC 430-53(c) and CEC Rule 28-206, allowing multiple motors to be protected under a single branch circuit protective device—eliminating the need for individual motor branch overcurrent devices and significantly reducing control panel space and costs.
