The Moeller PKZ2/ZMR-0.6/S is a self-protected manual motor starter with integrated overload and short-circuit protection. This configuration combines the PKZ2 basic module, ZMR-0.6-PKZ2 overload relay (adjustable 0.4–0.6 A thermal range), the S-PKZ2 high-capacity contactor, and the C-PKZ2 DIN rail mount. With an adjustable magnetic trip range of 5–8 A, this controller is UL and CSA certified as an HP-rated motor controller, offering motor overload protection and compliance with NEC 430-53(c) and CEC rule 28-206 for group installations. By enabling multiple PKZ2 units to share a single branch circuit protective device, it eliminates the need for individual motor branch circuit overcurrent protection, reducing both space and cost in control panels.
