The Eaton/Moeller MSC-DEA-32-M17(24VDC) is a heavy-duty direct-on-line (DOL) motor starter designed for dependable motor protection and starting in industrial applications. It combines a PKE32 motor-protective circuit-breaker with a DILM17 contactor, forming a compact and efficient complete device. The unit supports motors up to 7.5 kW at 400/500 V AC-3, with a rated operational current of 15.2 A at 400 V and 12.1 A at 500 V. It features an adjustable overload release range of 8–32 A, instantaneous short-circuit release at 448 A, and a high short-circuit withstand rating of 100 kA. The starter offers type 2 coordination, operates on 24 V DC control voltage, and uses screw connections with IP20 protection. The MSC-DEA-32-M17 is IE3-ready, compliant with IEC/EN 60947-4-1 standards, and SmartWire-DT capable with an optional communication module, making it ideal for modern, energy-efficient motor control systems.
