The Eaton/Moeller MSC-DEA-12-M17(24VDC) is a direct-on-line (DOL) motor starter designed for robust and reliable motor starting and protection. It integrates a PKE motor-protective circuit-breaker with a DILM17 contactor, forming a complete compact device. The starter supports motors up to 5.5 kW at 400/500 V AC-3, with a rated operational current of 11.3 A at 400 V and 9 A at 500 V. The overload release is adjustable from 3–12 A, and the device has a short-circuit withstand rating of 100 kA with instantaneous release at 168 A. It provides both type 1 and type 2 coordination, operates on 24 V DC control voltage, and uses screw-type connections with IP20 protection. The MSC-DEA-12-M17 is IE3-ready, fully compliant with IEC/EN 60947-4-1 standards, and prepared for SmartWire-DT communication via an optional module, making it an excellent choice for modern industrial motor control systems.
