The Eaton/Moeller MSC-DE-12-M9(24VDC) is a compact direct-on-line (DOL) motor starter designed to provide reliable motor starting and protection. It combines a PKE12 motor-protective circuit-breaker with a DILM9 contactor in a ready-to-use pre-assembled device. With an adjustable overload setting range of 3–12A and a non-delayed short-circuit release of 168A, it supports motor ratings up to 4 kW at 400V AC-3, with a rated operational current of 8.5A. The unit operates with a 24V DC actuating voltage and withstands short-circuit currents up to 100kA. Fully compliant with IEC/EN 60947-4-1 and VDE 0660, the MSC-DE-12-M9 offers both type 1 and type 2 coordination, IP20 protection, and IE3 motor compatibility. SmartWire-DT functionality can be added with the optional communication module, making it suitable for modern automated motor control systems.
