The Eaton/Moeller MSC-DE-12-M12(230V50HZ) is a direct-on-line (DOL) motor starter designed for reliable motor protection and operation. It integrates a motor-protective circuit-breaker (PKZM0/PKE) and a DILM contactor into a compact assembly, offering ease of installation with adapter-less DIN rail mounting for devices up to 15A. With an adjustable overload release range of 3–12A and a rated operational current of 11.3A at 400V AC-3, it supports motor ratings up to 5.5 kW. The unit provides a rated short-circuit current of 100kA, non-delayed short-circuit release at 168A, and coordination type “2.” It operates with a 230V 50Hz actuating voltage and complies with IEC/EN 60947-4-1 and VDE 0660 standards. The MSC-DE-12-M12 is also suitable for IE3 energy-efficient motors and supports SmartWire-DT communication when expanded with the PKE-SWD-32 module.
